My damn ATAS Bintan trip.
To celebrate our second year together, Brendan planned a SURPRISE for me!!!! yay=) this is like one of the few times brendan plans a surprise cos he really sucks at telling lies. so in order to make this time around work out i did my best to: Act Stupid. hahaha okok. I really didn't know we were going to BINTAN!!!!

We set off for the ferry terminal on this faithful saturday morning and Brendan got a limosine cab by luck. hahaha what a good start for this fake-atas trip. At that time i was still clueless about where we were going after stopping at the ferry terminal!
Had brekky at the ferry terminal and brendan went to collect the tickets to the secret place he was bringing me. Look we'e going to BINTAN!!! haha...well most people would think it's just another trip but this is the first time i'm going with brendan alone!! although we've been on numerous holidays but it's always been with friends and family. It's our first time travelling alone!
So immediately when we got on the ship we started photowhoring like crazy. it's quite exciting to travel alone=) but I was so tired cos i stayed up to make a little something for brendan that i slept through the 1 hour boat ride!
Lunch followed by the elepant show. there weren't much audiences so me and brendan practically gets chosen everytime they ask for volunteers. haha. the area wasn't furnished well...but we got to see elephants grazing in the wild and enjoyed a long elephant ride at the end of it.
All good holidays come to an end! Byebye bintan, byebye ATAS lifestyle.

It was actually raining when we got there. so we were rather sian...it was like pouring and everywhere was sticky and muddy... -.- feeling quite dejected, we decided to check in at the hotel first and replan our activities for the day. and guess what!!!
The hotel management made a mistake and we got upgraded to a suite!! And the room was big!!! Wahahaha... fake atas lah really. just damn lucky only.
The room had a four-post bed!!! aww look so princessy with the white flowy drape around the post...next time i shall also own one of this=) Can they like keep making more mistakes, especially next time when i check into Venetian...how about upgrade me to a penthouse!?!? hee
We explored the hotel a bit. Although it wasn't raining already but it was still pretty wet around. Outside our suite there was this little walkway which led us to the poolside and the beach!
I like the structure of the pool=) they built it such that it extends outwards into the horizon so it creates an illusion that we could swim on forever just to hit the wall later-.-. There was also a bar right smack in the middle of the pool so yoo could swim over for a cocktail when yoo get thirsty. cool. built something like that in my house next time. hahahaha
followed the linkway down and hit the beach. i like the beach there=) although it wasn't really pretty like the pictures and all...but it wasn't littered with people either. just a few kids and youths playing in the sea. so it felt kinda nice and peaceful just strolling down the stretch of beach with brendan.

brendan got to play soccer with the elephant.lol he said it was damn scary when the big thing starts running towards yoo. lol feels like yoo'll get stepped over anytime.

Dressed up for the night, we went to the night market at bintan for dinner. The seafood there was nice but it wasn't cheap though. The market was small and not impressive either, the shops there sell practically all the same things! There was really nothing much to shop so we headed back to the hotel for a drink at the bar.

The embarassing thing was i concussed after my cocktail! But seriously, there must have been a mistake in the drinks. Brendan's one tasted like banana milkshake and my baileys tasted like a shot! they must have dumped twice the amount in my cup. I was damn sleepy after that drink, I concussed.
The next thing i know, the hotel phone rang to wake us up at breakfast!!!! One thing i love about going for holidays is waking up for brekky. I'm not a breakfast person cos usually when i wake up it's either past noon or late evening. So waking up for brekky during a holiday makes me feel healthy! but of course on top of that the breakfast at hotels are usually very nice! Look at the spread=)
Went out for a little boat ride after that=) the scenery was nice along the river and we saw some little mangrove animals. Quite relaxing to feel the wind blowing through yoor hair.
